You don't need a picture do you???

(This picture was added after this post. But I had to do it because it fit so well. E hates doing ANY sort of cleaning, but when I do the laundry, I can't get away from him!!!)

I generally do my "blogging" with a picture, but I didn't have one today, and E did the cutest thing today, so I thought I'd blog it.

It was a {Sue} day today. He'd been excited all morning.
"Mom, is it time to go yet?"
"No, not yet."
"When?"
"After L wakes up from his nap."
So L generally takes a 3 hour nap, I put him down at 11:30, which meant he'd probably wake up around 2-2:30. My timing was perfect, until . . .
1:00, and in the middle of my lunch. . .
"Mami" (I'm trying to write it how a 1 year old says mommy, but I think you'll just have to use your imagination on that one.
More forcefully "MAMI". So, I go get him.
I bring L downstairs and E lights up. "Is it time to go?"
Oh, crap, I still have 1 1/2 hours left!! So at this point, I do what any loving, great most honest mom does, I make up excuses. "I need to finish the laundry, then we'll go." I proceed to change L's diaper, finish getting myself ready, which takes about 15 - 20 minutes.
I then here, "Mom?" in a sweet little 5 year olds voice.
"Yes, E?"
"I did the laundry for you. Can we go to Sue's now?"
Of course I'm shocked. I question him because, after all, He is 5 years old. . . and he starts to tell me how he went and knocked on Katie's door and she came and helped him and then the finished the laundry. And I said that I didn't here the door open, so He couldn't have gone to Katie's to have her help him, and he told me that he jumped out the window and "I didn't even get hurt!". So of course, at this point I'm doubting every word he's saying, so we go check. And guess what? I open the dryer, and All the wet clothes from the washer are in there!!! He DID help me with the laundry! I open the Washer to start another load, and guess what? All the CLEAN clothes are in there waiting to be washed!
This is my adorable 5 year old who cries when I ask him to pick up his blankies, pick up the pillows (that are ALWAYS on the floor because he doesn't like them, or because he was building a fort, or a trampoline or a house), pick up his toys,. But he'll do the laundry to go to Sue's faster. Go figure!
